Following in the footsteps of frequent collaborators Kanye West and Pharrell Williams, Pusha T is set to release a collaborative EQT Running Guidance 93 with adidas. The cream-colored sneakers features subtle nods to King Push's lyrics like fish scale accents, cracked leather and a gum sole. Push recently sat down with GQ to talk shoes and we have all the highlights for you right here.
Pusha T's affinity for adidas actually goes back to the fifth grade when he dressed up as Run DMC for his talent show. Rather than going with the more traditional Superstar, Push settled on the EQT silhouette because he wanted to do something "off the beaten path" that would go well with denim. Other than his EQT collab, the rapper's favorite adidas sneaker is the snakeskin and ostrich Stan Smiths. For someone known for wearing Visvim jackets and Saint Lauren parkas, this hardly surprised us. In case you were wondering, Push goes to same lengths as us to keep his sneakers looking good, taking a toothbrush to his Stan Smiths to keep them fresh.
