Tonight is Game 7 of the World Series between the Royals and Giants with noted sneaker enthusiast Jeremy Guthrie on the mound for KC, yet the sneaker spotlight won't stray from who else but Derek Jeter.

Jeter took to his Players' Tribune website today to pen a feature in which he talks about cleaning out his locker at Yankee Stadium for the final time. Of the things we find out from a normally guarded Jeter, is that Nike sent him "well over" 100 pairs of shoes this past season to accommodate his healing ankle. We're pretty sure being the longest tenured athlete on Jordan Brand's roster in his final season had something to do with it, as well. After all, we did see some pretty dope PEs on Jeter's feet throughout the season. For those of you wondering what Jeter did with all those pairs of shoes, take solace in the fact that actually gave the unused ones to the Yankees' clubhouse staffers who the shortstop said took good care of him over the years. Once again, Derek Jeter with the classy move.

Check out photos of Jeter's Nike collection in the gallery above and watch Jordan's farewell tribute to Jeter below.
