adidas just landed a potential knockout punch to Nike in their on-going battle for sneaker supremacy, as the design team of Denis Dekovic, Mark Miner and Marc Dole are leaving the Swoosh for, you guessed it, the Three Stripes.

Dekovic took to Instagram today to break the earth-shattering news that the future of Nike's design just up and left for their biggest rival. To get an idea of just how big of a loss this is for Nike, take a look at some the designs the trio is responsible for: The Magista, the Flyknit Mercurial Superfly IV, the Free Run series, the Air Pegasus and the Penny 5. Yikes.
