Vans is Looking to Revolutionize Skate Shoes With the Vans LXVI PRIME

When it comes to skateboarding shoes, there’s very few brand who have the history and name recognition that Vans does. One of the most respected brands in the industry is now looking to revolutionize the skate shoe with modern tech advances.

Just in time for spring, Vans just unveiled the Prime, the latest silhouette in the LVXI collection. The Prime was designed as the ultimate fusion of style and comfort. Featuring a single piece of upper comprised of synthetic leather with engineered perforations, the Prime is ultra lightweight and flexible as well as breathable. Included in the upper is Vans 4-way stretch LuxLiner for an unparalleled fit. Vans also included their new UltraCush Lite mid/outsole with their WaffleFlex tread technology for maximum comfort and traction.

Vans could be the pioneer here by incorporating modern technologies we’ve seen in natural motion running sneakers and other performance sneakers and adding them to skate shoes. If the Prime catches on with skaters, you can be sure other companies will follow suit and make more technically advanced sneakers themselves.

The Vans LVXI Prime is available now in two colorways at Vans.com and at select retailers for $100.

yeah, you’re DEFINITELY not supposed to skate in these, or any of the LXVI shoes. They’re just for casual wear.
