Nike Air Max Tailwind+ 6
The latest iteration of the Air Max Tailwind is far-removed from the classic design of the OG Tailwind from the late ‘70, but that doesn’t mean the shoe is any less impressive. For the first time in years Nike gave the shoe a complete heel-to-toe makeover, while staying true to its roots of being the first Swoosh-branded running shoe ever to boast Air units in the sole. We also love the Tailwind+ 6’s technicolor Gamma Blue silhouette on a visual level.

Anyone who’s a someone in the running industry knows just how legendary the Mizuno Wave Rider series is. Now back for the 17th time, the latest Wave Rider boasts a brand new U4iC platform that is 30% lighter than traditional foam, yet offers the same amount of cushioning and stability, if not more. The Wave Rider 17 is a lean mean running machine--and we want it.

adidas Supernova Glide 6 Boost
It may have taken the adidas Supernova Glide 6 Boost a while to arrive, but the third generation Boost-enabled shoe was well worth the wait. Along with its high energy rebound Boost midsole unit, the Supernova Glide 6 features a refined upper that is more structurally sound than the ones on the previous two Boost models--the Energy Boost and adios Boost. These sneakers are great for year-round running. Hell, we’d even rock ‘em to the club.

If we just described you, then you’ll be glad to know that for the first time ever specialty brand Newton Running has rolled out a true trail shoe and it’s impressive in every facet of the word. Seriously, these sneakers are legit.

If you’ve got the extra dough laying around, then we recommend picking up the 20th Anniversary Gel Kayano pack--which includes a pair of the original Kayano’s, as well as the most current ones. Things have been fairly quiet on the home front for Under Armour’s running footwear division as of late, but there are some worthy contenders that still have our attention— particularly the UA SpeedForm racing flat. Despite its 6-ounce build, the SpeedForm is loaded with performance potential thanks to some ingenuity on the part of UA. The shoe focuses on fit and speed, but should be bought for the look alone.
