NBA: Playoffs-New York Knicks at Boston Celtics
Carmelo Anthony has had a Jordan Brand endorsement since coming into the NBA. While we look forward to his upcoming signature sneaker, the Jordan Melo M10, let’s discuss his last two sneaker models that he wore last season.

While it’s common for non-retro or flagship Jordans to get overlooked, Carmelo’s signature collection is technically equipped and should not fall in this category.  Always well designed, the last two Jordan Melos have stood above the previous models and have featured all of the top current Nike and Jordan tech available, often priced substantially lower than other kicks with similar specs.

Even though the Melo M8 Advance debuted during the Gold Medal round of the Olympic Basketball in 2012, Anthony started off the ’12-’13 NBA season in them only to bring out the new Jordan Melo M9 at Christmas leaving a 5-month window for the M8 Advance to be the latest Carmelo Anthony pair of Jordans. Carmelo must have grown fond of the Jordan M8 Advance as frequently wore them throughout the season and into the new calendar year even after his new sneaker released.

Take a look as a complete breakdown of Carmelo Anthony’s statistical averages in every sneaker he wore during the ’12-’13 NBA season in order of appearance.

He could have had a better color way on Christmas.

I think the ‘Christmas’ Melo M9 was one of the best colorways of that shoe. Glitter specks in the translucent outsole panels & a reflective 3M upper nailed the snowflake theme.
