Following a red-hot February, performance footwear releases will cool off a bit this month. However, that doesn't mean there's any shortage of high-profile models that are set to make it onto retail shelves in March 2014. From the next iteration of the Nike LunarGlide 6 running shoe, to a fresh new Volt update for the Jordan Melo M10, here are the shoes we're looking forward to in the coming weeks.

Nike LunarGlide 6
Category: Running
Release date: TBD
Nike hasn’t shared the official release date of the next-generation LunarGlide 6 running shoe just yet, but all signs point to a March 2014 release. The LunarGlide 6 looks like a fairly substantial update compared to the previous model. It features a retooled midsole that is equally as cushioned, but also offers more support. The shoe’s upper has also been reworked.

New Balance Minimus 007
Category: Running
Release date: TBD
The latest New Balance trail running shoe isn’t due until April, but we’ve got a hunch that NB will put it on the market towards late March. Despite its name, the MX007 isn’t technically a part of NB’s popular Minimus collection. In other words, the shoe doesn’t feature the same anatomical last as the Minimus lineup. Still, the MX007 looks to be a solid option for trail enthusiasts looking for maximum protection and durability in a lightweight package.
Jordan Melo M10
Category: Basketball
Release date: March 1, 2014
Despite his best efforts, Carmelo Anthony’s Knicks continue to struggle on the hardwood. However, Melo’s signature shoe collection continues to grow—and win. The latest colorway of the Jordan Melo M10 features a metallic silver upper with those volt accents we all love so much.
Vivobarefoot Trail Freak
Category: Running
Release date: TBD
Could this be the month that Vivo finally treats runners to the much-anticipated Trail Freak off-road shoe? Given that it’s a part of the Vivo Spring 2014 collection, there’s a good chance the Trail Freak will hit retail shelves this month.
Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Inspiration”
Category: Basketball
Release date: March 1, 2014
If and when Kobe Bryant makes his return to the basketball court, he is expected to wear this championship-inspired silhouette of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. However, given the current dismal status of the Lakers squad, there’s a good chance Mamba may sit out the rest of the season. The good news for sneaker fans is that the Kobe 9 Elite “Inspiration” will be available in March regardless of Kobe’s playing status.
