Following the runaway success of the Air Jordan XI, Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan again teamed up prior to the 1996-97 season to create the Air Jordan XII. This model paired the stability of the XI’s full-length carbon fiber shank with the durability of a full leather upper, creating a unique blend that gave its wearers (typically versatile swingmen in Jordan’s mold) incredible durability and foot support. The XII also introduced full-length Zoom Air cushioning to the Air Jordan for the first time in the shoe’s history, allowing for maximum lift and comfort whether at the rim or along the perimeter.

Michael Jordan’s most famous moment in the Air Jordan XII is undoubtedly his “flu game,” where he led the Bulls to victory in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals despite being ridden with illness. Jordan is not the only one to have unleashed incredible performances in these shoes, however. Many NBA stars have also chosen to wear the Air Jordan XII in recent years, and have indeed made use of the shoe’s many key features to unleash outstanding efforts of their own. These are the 10 Best Non-Jordan Performances in the Air Jordan XII.
