So much can be made about running a marathon these days, and we get it—it’s self-gratifying, it’s a good way to get an entire life’s worth of running done in one go, hell you can even call it a bucket list type deal. But is it really worth the effort?

Running for 26.2 consecutive miles may initially seem like a good idea when your buddy or girl friend pitches it to you. But it’s not a good idea. In fact, it’s down-right crazy. Before you get suckered into something you’ll undeniably regret, consider these 10 reasons to never run a marathon, ever. You’ll thank us later.
