The 2014 NBA Draft was the most highly touted class since the infamous '03 Draft with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Melo just to name a few. Easily the most hyped player going into this year is Kansas product Andrew Wiggins, who's freakish athleticism and overall talent even gained comparisons to King James.

After being drafted #1 overall the Cavaliers, Wiggins was later traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a blockbuster trade to bring Kevin Love to Cleveland to partner up with LeBron, leaving Wiggins out to dry. Don't feel so bad for Wiggins, as he's just scratched the surface of his talent and could bring his game to a new level with the help of a young core orchestrated by point guard Ricky Rubio. There's plenty of talent in the rookie pool this season, but something still tells us Wiggins will bring home the Rookie of the Year honors when the season is all said and done, and here's some reasons why.

Reason #5: He's got the work ethic of a seasoned veteran

Reason #4: A solid supporting cast of Thaddeus Young, Zach Levine, and former #1 pick Anthony Bennett will mean a high flying Timberwolves offense.

Reason #3: Ricky Rubio will elevate Wiggins offensive game, and give him the opportunity for some easy buckets.

Reason #2: Even if he doesn't win the Rookie of the Year, we should see some incredible dunks from the wing tandum of Wiggins and Levine. Future dunk contest participants? We hope so.

Reason #1: With adidas at his back, Wiggins will get all the publicity and sneaker hooks up to keep him in the limelight despite playing in Minnesota.
