Carnavalesca, Bossa Nova, and Brazuca—no, these aren't the names of classic Italian films. Rather, they're the potential names of the adidas soccer ball for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Since the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, every soccer ball used for the tournament has been given a name characteristic of the host country. Similarly, the potential names for 2014 Brazil are a play on Brazilian culture. The first, Carnavalesca, describes someone who participates in the country's famous carnival festival. Bossa Nova is a reference to the famous samba-jazz music genre that gained popularity in Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s, and Brazuca is slang for native Brazilians.

Adidas is letting fans in on the action by allowing them to vote on their favorite of the three finalists. Voting closes on September 2nd, so head over to adidas to cast your vote.
