Nothing is more synonymous with America then baseball, so to celebrate Independence Day, adidas unveiled a red, white, and blue colorway of the Energy Boost Icon, that will be debuted around the MLB this Friday.

The patriotic cleat features three red, white and blue stripes and a reflective red to blue fade electroplated outsole plate. Several players around the league will be lacing these up this weekend including Atlanta's Jason and BJ Upton, Oakland's Coco Crisp, and Philly star Chase Utley.

Designed for the five-tool player, the  Energy Boost Icon is the first adidas non-running shoe to feature Boost technology, and it offers athletes with an endless supply of energy and acceleration on the field when it's needed most. The cleats feature shockvent windows for maximum breathability and an external heel clip for increased stability.

No official word on if these will ever hit retail, but keep it locked for more information as it surfaces.
