How do you make an already great shoe even better? Apparently adidas has found a way. Following up the success of the Supernova Sequence 5, the Three Stripes has rolled out the latest version of the neutral running shoe.

Available now, the Supernova Sequence 6 features most of the same technology seen in the previous model, though it does come in a bit heavier on the scale—something to take note of considering follow up releases are generally trimmed down in weight. The 0.3-ounce weight increase (from 11.2 to 11.5) can be attributed to the additional synthetic overlays over the toe box for improved fit and better lightweight support, along with a more prominent heel counter for stability. The Sequence 6’s air mesh upper is designed to help regulate temperature so your feet don’t get over-heated, particularly on longer runs. The shoe features an adiWear outsole with Continental rubber for ground-hugging traction. Additional features include adiPrene under the heel for temperature regulation, and a Pro-Moderator medial support system to help prevent overpronation.

Expect to see a lot of the Sequence 6 lined up at marathon starting lines this summer.
