Sustainable innovation is in full effect in the sportswear apparel industry.

As sportswear brands continue the trend of using technology to apply a more sustainable approach to manufacturing, adidas is following suit with their latest DryDye waterless dying technology.

During this summer adidas has rolled out 50,000 DryDye tee shirts made by using pressurized CO2 instead of water. So far, adidas’ latest efforts have saved over 1,200,00 L of water during the manufacturing process. The innovative DryDye technology not only eliminates the waste of water, it also uses 50% less energy and 50% less chemicals.

Look out for the adidas DryDye technology to be integrated into performance apparel in the coming seasons.
