At just 26 years old, Lionel Messi has already become one of the most prolific players of all time. Today, after a hat trick in Barcelona's 7-0 win over Osasuna, Messi became his team's all-time leading scorer with a whopping 371 total goals for the club. The record was previously held by Paulino Alcantara with 369 goals, a milestone that remained in place for nearly a century. With this, Messi has added yet another legendary achievement to his already impressive resume.
Fittingly, adidas was quick to unveil a special version of the F50 cleat commemorating this feat. With only 371 uniquely numbered pairs, this premium package includes a 20-page booklet breaking down Messi's journey to 371. Grab a piece of history today for $369.
"When I was a little boy growing up in Argentina I always dreamt of a career as a professional footballer. From that point onwards, each goal I have ever scored has been special in its own way. It’s important to mention that I never would have broken the record without the talent and dedication of my teammates who have been with me every step of the way. Being the all-time top goal-scorer for such an amazing club is a true honor. I would like to thank adidas for the fact that they have produced these beautiful boots to celebrate this new record," said Messi.
