The NFL Combine is underway in Indianapolis, and adidas is going to great lengths to lock up this year’s fastest draft prospect to its own NFL roster.

Via billboards all across Indy, and a recent local newspaper ad that reads: “Run the fastest 40, and get a contract offer,” adidas is promising just that—a footwear deal to the fastest man at this year’s combine.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the front-runners for the fastest 40-time, and a deal with adidas, are Tennessee's Cordarrelle Patterson, University of North Carolina's Giovani Bernard and Marquise Goodwin of Texas. Though, for what it's worth, Patterson was the only one out of the three who played in adidas cleats during his college career.

Regardless of who ends up with the fastest time, the winner will likely get to play in the latest gridiron cleats from adidas, the adiZero 5-Star 2.0 (considering he wants to sign with adidas in the first place).
