Some of the top European soccer leagues made the switch to the new Nike Maxim Hi-Vis soccer ball this past fall. Now, the MLS (Major League Soccer) is following suit.

Earlier this month, adidas and the MLS unveiled the updated PRIME ball that will be used in matches during the 2013 season. Engineered for increased control and consistent ball movement, the adidas PRIME features a more aerodynamic construction than the current ball. The updated bladder inside the ball increases air retention and reduces water uptake, allowing the PRIME to hold up during intense weather conditions.

The adidas PRIME is available to the fans as well. $150
