With the FIFA World Cup 2014 getting closer and closer by the day, adidas has kicked off the process of unveiling brand new uniforms for its various sponsored national teams. To follow up the Colombian Kit previewed here on SR yesterday, today we get a detailed look at the uniforms the Russian Federation will suit up in next summer in Brazil.

Inspired by the achievements of Soviet cosmonauts during the ‘60s, the features of the new kit include a printed tribute to the Conquerors of Space, as well as three adidas golden stripes and the Flag of Russia. Both the maroon shirts and shorts are branded with the gold double-headed eagle seen on the Russian Federation coat of arms. The uniforms are constructed using adizero technology, which enables the outfit to become 40% lighter than traditional materials. A combination of compression and breathable stretch materials offer an ideal balance of support and comfort, providing a streamlined fit to help players improve their performance on the pitch.

The Russian World Cup 2014 kit will be available for fan purchase beginning tomorrow, November 14 at adidas.
