The Mexican national soccer team moved one step closer to qualifying for the 2014 World Cup with a dramatic 2-1 win over Panama over the weekend. And while the squad still has some work to do before it can officially punch its ticket to Brazil, the team has some refreshed hope courtesy of a new-look kit from adidas.
The Three Stripes has hooked Mexico up with new “Tricolor” jerseys, which first made their on-field debut in Friday’s match. Featuring a streamlined design, the kit is the lightest Mexico’s worn to date. The tonal green jerseys are highlighted with red and white accents, with Mexico’s crest right smack dab in the middle. And of course, what adidas kit would be complete without Three Stripes branding throughout.
"For adidas it is an honor to outfit the National Team. We have developed the lightest jersey, with an innovative and unique design, while staying true to our principle of offering only the best to our athletes, the Mexican Federation, and football fans on our way to FIFA's World Cup 2014, said adidas Brand Director Teodoro Husemann.
