Summer may be drawing to an end, but there’s news out of the water sports industry today, as adidas announces that it will launch the new Tycane Pro eyewear at next month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

Designed for maximum eye protection without hindering vision, the Tycane Pro features an innovative wide lens construction. The glasses use curved 10-base filters that are water-resistant and shatterproof, and coated with a hydrophobic material for additional protection against water. To make sure water doesn’t stick around, adidas has added drainage channels throughout to allow water to bounce right off.

The Tycane Pro shades feature adjustable temples and nose pads for a custom, comfortable fit. An outer rubber coating ensures they’ll stay on your even without the attachable headband. While they’re designed specifically for sailing, the shades are versatile enough to be used for all types of water sports.

Stay tuned for release information on the adidas Tycane Pro.
