Today's only Monday, but it's already shaping up to be a big week here at Sneaker Report, as the crew gets set to hit Beantown later this weekend for the Boston Marathon.

In honor of the world's oldest marathon, and the upcoming release of the latest version of Boston-based Saucony's top tier running line, here's a more detailed look at the special edition Kinvara 4 "Boston" we expect to see this weekend at the Expo.

Clad in a Celtic Green/Yellow colorway, the shoe is a nod to Boston’s rich Irish culture. Along with a clover and the word "Boston" printed on the heel counter, the city's name is subtly printed on the sides of the shoe, as well as the tongue. As for performance, the Kinvara 4 features upgraded FlexFlim overlays on the upper, and a more plush PowerGrid heel insert.

Stay tuned for the latest news on the 2013 Boston Maraton. We've got a performance review of the Kinvara 4 in the works too.
