Every running footwear brand has its marquee sneaker series that keeps coming back each year with updates to make it better and faster—and we runners just eat it up each time. While Asics has a few models like that, one of its most successfully cushioned neutral sneakers has to be the GEL-Cumulus series.

Staled to be back for its 15th edition, runners who are all serious about cushioning may just have a new favorite shoe come April 2013. You won’t see any major changes in the Asics GEL-Cumulus 15, but it has been tweaked to give it more horsepower than the previous model. Among the changes include: a larger Gel unit in both heel and forefoot for impact resistance, the addition of a full-length SpEVA 45 midsole for better support and protection, and more seamless overlays on the upper for a comfortable fit. The GEL-Cumulus will drop in just a couple of months with a price point of $115.

Don’t think the GEL-Cumulus 15 will have enough cushioning for you? You may want to check out the GEL-Nimbus 15 instead.
