Recently, we took a behind-the-scenes look at a trail running model from Puma’s Faas lineup. Today, we shift our focus to the marquee road specific shoe in the brand’s extensive running footwear collection, the Faas 500 v2.
Released earlier this year, the 500 v2 is the middle child of the Faas family. It’s designed as an everyday neutral trainer that looks great and performs well too. The updated shoe features a slimmed down frame (an entire ounce lighter than its predecessor) for better mobility. Puma also dropped the midsole height down to 4mm to bring the heel closer to the ground for a more fluid foot strike. Additional updates include deeper flex grooves in the forefoot for a stronger toe-off, as well as a more breathable air mesh upper for better ventilation. The shoe also comes with a more decoupled heel crash pad for impact protection.
