Saucony has an extensive lineup of high performance running shoes. But its Cortana series has definitely been one of the more popular over the past couple of years. Now entering its third installment, here’s a closer look at what the Cortana 3 will look like, both in terms of performance and aesthetics.

Since the Cortana 2 is already a force to be reckoned with on the road, Saucony didn’t have to do much to the latest version. As expected, the shoe features minimal tweaks, which include more ground-contact iBR+ (injection-blown rubber) than the previous model. This means the 3 will offer a more plush ride than its predecessor. The Cortana 3 also features a redesigned upper that is nearly stitchless for max comfort, along with a reduced weight, particularly at the rear of the shoe.

The Cortana 3 drops on August 1, 2013. Follow Sneaker Report for a performance review of the shoe.
