The Brooks PureProject running footwear line is set to enter its third installment in 2014, and it looks like each model (whether it needed it or not) will get some upgrades both in terms of aesthetics and performance, including the PureCadence—one of the most popular of the PureProject collection.

While the basic design of the PureCadence 3 seems virtually unchanged, the shoe is slightly narrower in the forefoot for a more streamlined fit. The split toe on the PureCadence has also been repositioned to allow the first two toes to move more naturally (as opposed to the previous version, which alienated the big toe). Additional upgrades include a more beveled heel for improved fluidity, as well as an updated Nav Band across the midfoot, which has been given a silicone construction rather than fabric for a more stable fit.

The PureCadence 3 is expected to hit retailers sometime in December 2013—just in time for some holiday running. It will be priced at $120.
