Last week, the Dick's Sporting Goods "Why You Run" campaign continued with an inspirational father and son duo. For week five, the focus shifts to Chris Solarz, a gentleman with an extremely demanding day job. But for the last ten years, he's taken a unique approach to his daily commute to work. Solarz runs each day, citing the efficiency of being able to prepare for his work day through phone calls while running.
Since getting involved with running, Solarz has racked up over 500 races, including 200 marathons in 35 different countries. He also completed an extraordinary achievement by marking the fastest aggregate time to finish a marathon on all seven continents, at 22 hours, 14 minutes, and eight seconds.
