Soccer is a game of finesse and beauty—and nothing embodies that more than the newly unveiled Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII CR cleat.
Christiano Ronaldo’s latest signature boot features bold colors inspired by his own signature clothing line, along with a lightweight design for optimal performance. The traditional black color of the CR is combined with a pink and blue layout to ensure the player wearing the high performance cleats gets noticed. On the heel of the boot, there’s a heart logo (representing a love of winning) overlaid with an X (representing a hatred of losing).
As brilliant as the aesthetics are of the Vapor VIII CR, what’s under the hood is perhaps even more impressive. The cleat is constructed to hold feet firmly in place, eliminating any unnecessary movement that can slow a player down on the pitch. The upper on the boot is made from Teijin Microfiber material, which makes the toe area softer and more comfortable. To round out the near-perfect soccer cleat, Nike has strategically placed two twin studs at the back for quick footwork, and an asymmetrical stud configuration throughout the bottom for explosive performance.
The Mercurial Vapor VIII CR will be available starting December 1st.
