One of the most popular skate shoes—the DC Lynx S—of all time is back from the archives this year, as DC Shoes celebrates its 20th anniversary in style.

The 1998 classic will be reintroduced in 2014 with a modern update that brings the shoe up to the performance standard of today’s skaters without compromising its heritage.

"For years people have been asking us to re-release the Lynx shoe and this modern version perfectly symbolizes our long history and forward commitment to progression, said Jeff Taylor, Senior Vice President, Global Brand and Marketing for DC Shoes.  “With 2014 being DC's 20th anniversary, there was no better time than now to bring the Lynx back."

The new Lynx features a Super Suede TPU backed upper, paired with an internal mesh sleeve for the best of both comfort and durability. A sandwich tongue and vent holes allow for proper temperature regulate in order to reduce the risk of overheating. An abrasion resistant rubber outsole added yet another layer of protection between the skater and pavement.

There different color options for the Lynx S are currently available. Look for additional colorways to drop throughout the year.
