On Thursday night, Chicago Bulls fans everywhere got sick to their stomach as Derrick Rose limped off the floor with an apparent leg injury. Rose has since been diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain, but one ESPN anchor threw out her theory on Rose's injury problems, and believes that his adidas shoes are to blame.

Sarah Spain, anchor on ESPN's hour-long debate show His & Hers, gave her thoughts on the injury, and said Rose's adidas D Rose 5 looked "loose" when he planted before leaving the game. Spain stirred the pot even further by saying "ever since he started that big adidas deal and changing shoes all the time, things started happening.”

First off, adidas has since went away from their "lightweight" campaign, and the D Rose 5 is amongst the heaviest signature shoes on the market today. Furthermore, if you look at Rose's attire when he plays, there may be no person in the NBA more geared up. For added protection, Rose gets his ankles taped, wears tights, socks, custom SpeedWrap ankle braces and even has additional padding in the collar of his shoes. So maybe it's not adidas that's the problem, but rather the overall force and speed that Rose plays at which has contributed to his injury problems ever since he played AAU in Chicago.

Even if D Rose was to switch shoe companies, there's simply no guarantee that he would remain healthy. Every brand from Nike to Under Armour has had their problems with athlete's getting hurt, but it's sometimes easier to just blame the brand instead of the player. Let us know what you think of Sarah Spain's comments, and if you believe D Rose's injury problems stem from adidas.
