Sometimes, tweaking an already great product could turn into a disaster. Fortunately, that’s not the case for Brooks Running and its upcoming PureConnect 2 performance running sneaker.

The second edition of the ultralight PureConnect series is pretty similar to the original, in terms of top-notch performance that is. Rather, the changes come in the form of an upgraded upper that is made of lighter, more breathable materials. Like the original, the sneaker still has the NAV-Band for proper support, however Brooks has added a splash of color to it for more visual appeal. The neutral-fitting shoe offers a low-to-the-ground ride due to a 4mm heel-to-toe drop.

The PureConnect 2 is set to drop in January 2013. This definitely a shoe you want to look out for.
