If you thought that Free Runs and Flyknits were groundbreaking, wait until you see what Nike has up their sleeve now. Starting January 1st, Nike will be releasing the Studio Wrap. Billed as "five shoes in one", the Studio Wrap is designed for women who practice yoga, pilates, and barre.

Studio-type workouts are more popular than ever, and as usual, Nike has filled a void in the footwear industry. The barefoot-like feel provides a number of advantages, such as hygienic cleanliness, grip, and eliminating the need for scrunched-up socks. The shoe itself contains three parts; the wrap, ribbon, and flat. While the studio activities aren't our focus, we have to call these out based on their conceptual approach to performance.

By keeping things simple, Nike may have delivered one of their most conceptual sneakers thus far.
