It looks like the theme for 2013 is weight reduction. As running brands continue to unveil their latest arsenal of footwear for next year, Saucony is getting in the mix as well with its Mirage 3 running sneaker.
The third edition of the Saucony Mirage series weighs in at about an ounce lighter than the Mirage 2. In terms of design, the MIrage 3 looks more like the Saucony Kinvara, mostly due to the introduction of similar FlexFilm technology in the upper. Designed to encourage a midfoot strike, the shoe features deep grooves along the outsole for increased flexibility and responsiveness.
The Mirage 3 will hit retailers with a price tag of $110 in February 2013. Stay tuned for a performance review on the sneaker.
