Many people are well aware that Nike is the world's biggest sports brand around. What is often overlooked is how the Swoosh got to where they are today, and the steps in their history that shaped the global success they are today. Well your history lesson has just arrived, and for those with a short attention span, don't worry it's only three minutes long.

Since 23-year-old graphic designer Carolyn Davidson invented The Swoosh logo in 1971, Nike has been growing immensely through innovative ads, and landing some of the best athlete signings of all time. The Swoosh brand has grown so much, that the top Nike executives were recently named Footwear News' Most Powerful People. Check out the video below, and see the evolution of Nike from the first ever "Just Do It" ad, all the way up to the current era of LeBron James.
