Kanye loves his black-on-black-on-black. Yeezy rocks the workout staples with retros as he leaves an L.A. rec center after a game of pickup basketball in '09 (pre-Kimye). The Air Jordan Aqua 8’s aren't considered a performance shoes anymore, but the then-blogger Kanye could rock blocks of gold on the court if he felt like it. Originally released in the '92-93 season during MJ's "Three-peat season" and retroed in 2007, the Aqua 8s were coveted in the early '90s despite being one heavy beast of a shoe. The well-cushioned sole is kept on lock due to the cross-over straps, but the heavy padding is too hot for today's players. MJ made it look so easy. Nike's N.E.T. shorts are an easy wardrobe staple, cop for the court, track, or just the grocery store.
Bottom Line: Sticking to the basics is approved for the court, though you are better off going for more modern kick with more breathability and less weight. Save these retros for the street.
