Derrick Rose is still trying to work out the kinks in his knee leading up to the 2014 FIBA World Cup and the start of the NBA season, but one thing he does know, when he takes the court it'll be in the Boost enabled adidas D Rose 5. With the launch scheduled for late October, our friends at Sole Collector got an early look at the latest signature for D Rose, and are offering an up close look before the drop.

The D Rose 5 will be the first signature for the Bulls point guard that'll be powered by Boost technology. For those unfamiliar, Boost technology features material made up of thousands of capsules that help store and release energy efficiently as athletes perform. As one of the most energetic and high-flying players in the league (when healthy), Boost will only propel Rose quicker and help him get back to MVP form. This colorway comes with a black upper that has a printed graphic throughout. the print was first seen on tow cap of the D Rose 2.5, but apparently adidas and Rose liked it enough to utilize it again. The shoe could be a nod to the cross-town Chicago White Sox, as it's a predominately white and black shoe, but the real standout comes through the icy blue translucent outsole.

Keep an eye out for the adidas D Rose 5 Boost when it hits shelves to kick off the NBA season in late October.
