Week one of the NFL preseason continued tonight as the Steelers hosted the New York Giants from Heinz Field. The Giants managed to hold on to their lead and pick up a 18-13 road win, but the Steelers almost closed in on the advantage thanks to stellar field goal kicking from Shaun Suisham and a huge fumble return from Adrian Robinson.

In the first quarter of action, Giants QB Eli Manning converted on a 57-yard TD to Victor Cruz, which seemed to set the tone for the remainder of the night. Manning finished with 73 yards on 2/5 passing, while David Carr added another 64 yards with 6/11 passing. On the Pittsburgh side, Ben Roethlisberger went 4/8 with 36 yards, while Landy Jones led the Steelers with 48 yards on 5 of 9 attempts.

A wide variety of cleats were on the gridiron tonight, including models from Under Armour, Nike, and adidas. Giants rookie Damontre Moore stepped out in the UA Nitro Diablo MC CompFit ($90), which features the brand's form-fitting CompFit technology for lockdown and support. Pittsburg's Jarvis Jones opted for the Steelers-specific colorway of the Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly 2 TD ($130), which is supported by Flywire for lockdown and cushioned by Zoom Air. Last but not least, Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham wore a discontinued adidas cleat for his key field goals.
