The way you work out has just drastically changed thanks to your good friends at Apple.

After much speculation and anticipation, the Apple Watch was officially unveiled. The newest gadget from Apple is a pedometer and heart-rate moniter that also offers a vast array of fitness tracking features.

The standout feature of the watch is the three smart ring tracking system, which is similar in theory to the one used on the FuelBand, but fully redesigned. The Move ring tracks your basic activity on a daily basis, while the exercise ring will let you know your activity level while completing a workout. Finally, the stand ring will measure how long your standing on on your feet each day, (which will make us bloggers reconsider our daily activity).

Similar to other devices we've seen on the market, the Apple Watch will also give you helpful reminders of when you missed a work out, and gives customized messages to help complete your fitness goals. The Watch also comes with the Workout app, which tracks your calories, time spent sweating, and is smart enough to tell which workout your doing whether it be running, biking, you name it.

The final standout feature here is Apple is offering a Sport version of the Watch, which is 60% stronger then the regular version so it can withstand the wear and tear of a fully active lifestyle.

Long story short, the Apple Watch is looking to revolutionize the way you look at working out. The need for personal motivation from others, including overpriced personal trainers is slowly weeding it's way out, and that's exactly what Apple is hoping for. The wave of wearable technology is upon us, and of course Apple is joining in on the fun. It'll be interesting to test out the Apple Watch compared to FitBit and other devices on the market to see the real difference, and just like every other product Apple has on the market, the consumer is looking for technology leaps and strides beyond what else is available.
