After signing a lucrative deal with adidas five years ago, British tennis star Andy Murray could be leaving the Three Stripes to become the face of Under Armour.

Murray's deal with adidas was a five year $15 million and is set to expire in the next few days. As of now, reports are that Under Armour is now the front runner to land Murray as they continue to grow their market share in the tennis category. Although they're not immediately associated with tennis, Under Armour is growing in the sport and recently signed emerging American star Sloane Stephens and veteran US journeyman Robby Ginepri. If Under Armour ends up landing Murray, he can expect a significant cut from the $3 million a year adidas was giving him, as he failed to bring in the revenues despite winning Wimbledon, the US Open and the 2012 Olympic singles title.

The kicker for the deal is Murray will most likely continue to wear adidas shoes during competition, as he's worn the Barricade 7 for the last few years and isn't looking to change. Some believed that New Balance had a chance to sign Murray, but since bringing on Milos Raonic, those rumors have mostly been squashed. Murray is expected to announce his new clothing deal in the next few days, so keep it locked for the announcement, and let us know what you think of him potentially signing with Under Armour.
