When one door closes, another one opens. The departure of Dwyane Wade has left Jordan Brand without one of their biggest names. However, it doesn't seem like they're going to be waiting very long to fill that void. Yesterday, JB announced that they have signed Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook to a multi-year deal.

"We are very excited to welcome Russell to the Jordan family. Russell's style, both on and off the court, combined with his love and dedication to the game make him a perfect fit for Jordan Brand," said Michael himself.

Westbrook is a two-time NBA All-Star who experienced his first trip to the NBA Finals last season. If he continues his All-Star level play as he enters the 2012-2013 season, this partnership could certainly be a fruitful one.
