Keen footwear needs no introduction to the outdoor retail market, but even long-time Keen fans may be surprised to see what the brand has on tap for Fall/Winter 2013.

To add a more modern touch to its classic lineup, Keen will introduce a series of lightweight running-inspired hiking boots designed to be lightweight, fast, and keep you looking fresh on the trail.

The first shoe from the Keen Marshall Collection we’ll take a look at is the Marshall Mid. Also available in a waterproof version (the Mid WP), the Marshall Mid has the potential to be one of the most versatile hikers of the year. The shoe comes in an open 3-D Mesh upper for ventilation and protection against debris. Lightweight synthetic overlays, and a thick rubber toe bumper give the shoe added protection on uneven terrain, as well as a high-rebound PU midsole for lasting comfort no matter where the beaten path takes you.

The Marshall Mid ($130) and the Marshall Mid MP ($140) will be available in both men’s and women’s models.

Check back soon for the latest Keen release information.
