Last night, the Minnesota Lynx rallied to a huge win over the Phoenix Mercury. Lynx forward Monica Wright had a big night, chipping in 17 points on the way to victory. As great as she played, her performance was overshadowed by her post-game confirmation of her engagement to Kevin Durant. Following Minnesota's win over Phoenix, Wright told reporters that Durant had recently proposed, and that she accepted.

Durant and Wright's history dates back to 2006, where they met at the McDonald's High School All-American Game. While the extent of their relationship over the years hasn't been made public, there have been some less-than-subtle hints like this tweet referencing Love & Basketball and Wright sporting the newest colorway of the KDVI before Kevin himself.

Naturally, Sneaker Report is excited about the shoe potential here. KD has a massively-popular signature line with Nike that regularly incorporates personal details. Will we see Durant the KD VI "Monica" next season? Wright is a Swoosh representative as well, and has been known to rotate between models like the Zoom Soldier 6 and KD V Elite (pictured). Or maybe KD's own Leo Chang will lend his talents to rolling out a women's signature shoe... hey we can dream, right?!
