adidas Dribbletex

KNOW YOUR TECH breaks down the scientific technology used in your favorite sneakers and activewear. Let’s demystify your next purchase: today’s technology is adidas Dribbletex. Earlier this week, we previewed Messi's latest signature offering, and today we'll dig deeper into some of the technology behind the "Samba Pack" edition of the adidas F50 Adizero. While Messi's previous version used a Sprintskin upper, the F50 Adizero Samba Pack features a HybridTouch upper enhanced with adidas Dribbletex. Messi will be wearing this style in Brazil's 2014 FIFA World Cup, but you can find out how adidas Dribbletex can benefit everyday players below.

What is it? adidas Dribbletex is a three-dimensional grip texture applied to key areas on the upper of the adidas F50 Adizero TRX FG Samba Pack. Although the original F50 Adizero Messi model was built for precision and quickness, it lacked a weather-resistant grip feature.

How does it work? The raised, grippy design of the adidas Dribbletex application allows for high levels of control and efficiency in both wet and dry conditions. In other words, if you're speeding down the pitch on damp turf, adidas Dribbletex delivers the same high level of ball control it would on dry surfaces.

Bottom line: A little rain isn't going to stop a soccer game, so save the excuses and come equipped with adidas Dribbletex technology.
