When Jordan Brand signed Charlotte’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist earlier this summer, they had no idea the second overall pick in the NBA draft only need one shoe to show off his skills.
With about 4:20 left in Saturday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, and his team down 84-76, Kidd-Gilchrist pulled down a rebound, split two defenders, and went coast-to-coast for the score. Oh, and did we mention he lost one of his shoes at around midcourt? Perhaps he should take a list at this sneaker guide.
Kidd-Gilchrist’s amazing display of balance and determination apparently got the rest of the Bobcats going as well. The ‘Cats completed the comeback, eventually winning 101-97 in overtime.
