New Balance Japan has given us another reason to shop overseas.
NB Japan has turned to the Teijin Fibers Limited group to supply replacement insoles for its running shoes, resulting in some advanced technology underfoot for all of our New Balance athletes out there. Made up of a high-strength polyester fiber, the Nanofront technology is microscopic (7,500 times smaller than the cross section of human hair), covered with small surface bumps for improved grip, and features better moisture absorbency than regular insoles. Sounds like a solid switch to us.
New Balance Japan is so impressed with the innovative product they are introducing the technology in shoelace and sock materials as well. Nanofront is only available overseas for now, but we hope to see the new goods in the US soon.
