It’ll be quite some time before we see a barefoot-style baseball cleat (if ever). But if you’re a slugger looking to get your barefoot fix during training, New Balance has just the shoe for you in the NB Pro Baseball Limited Edition Minimus 20v3.

Part of NB’s popular Minimus collection, this special edition training sneaker is an excellent lightweight option for hitting the gym this season. The shoe’s low-profile design promotes a more natural gait cycle. A 4mm heel-to-toe differential caters to neutral runners, and is designed to conform to the natural shape of the foot.

The 20v3’s upper is made from synthetic/mesh materials for lightweight comfort and supports, along with breathability. Like other minimal shoes, the 20v3 can be worn with or without socks. The shoe comes with a responsive REVlite midsole that weighs 30% less that traditional foam, along with a grippy Vibram outsole so you can keep your balance even with that growing pool of sweat at your feet.
