Now that Nike has sold the Umbro Brand, the United Soccer Leagues sponsorship has shifted to the Swoosh. Nike will fill in the gaps where Umbro left off, sponsoring USL teams and events.

The USL organizes many soccer leagues, with men's and women's teams based in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. As of 2011, they also took charge of the Major Indoor Soccer League.

USL includes the popular USL Pro division, which includes the Rochester Rhinos, Richmond Kickers, Charlotte Eagles, and more.

“We are very excited about this new partnership with Nike,” USL CEO Alec Papadakis said. “We’ve gone from a partnership with an iconic soccer brand to a partnership with the world’s biggest sports and soccer brand, which is great news for everyone involved with USL. We expect this relationship to benefit all USL clubs, and we are eager to start working with Nike to develop programs that will benefit USL’s properties both now and in the future.”
