When it comes to the most historic marathons in the world, a few immediately come to mind. London, New York, Boston, and of course Chicago. Runners are ready to decent on the Windy City marathon next week, and Nike just dropped a special shoe so you can run and rep your city at the same time.

The Nike Air Max Lunar1 "Chicago Marathon" comes in a black base for the upper, and is complimented by traditional Bear's blue and orange as accents. Nike opted to use the Air Max Lunar1 because it's built to withstand the weather and elements, which can change in minutes in Chicago. The shoes also offer mesh side panels for breathability, a Lunarlon midsole for a cushioned, responsive ride, and a rugged outsole to offer the most traction and durability.

Nike pays homage to the city with the Chicago Marathon logo on the insoles, a special "Own Chicago" graphic on the heel, and customized laces commemorating the historic race by the lake. The Chicago Marathon is scheduled for October 12, but you can scoop them up for race day by heading to the Nike Store.
