Just because there are no World Cup games scheduled today does not mean that the soccer news cycle stops, as today Manchester United unveiled their new look for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

Using their traditional red, white and black colors, Nike and Man U created a jersey that embodies the club's purest and most authentic identity. This season's look welcomes back the use of the white collar, which for the first time is a ribbed crew-neck design. The bottom of the collar has a subtle chevron finish in honor of the design that has adorned Man U's chest since the early 20th century.

The jersey is also outfitted with some minute details that make the kit truly unique. On the inside of the collar, the motto "Youth, Courage, Greatness" is printed to represent the club's values, while the team's name is engraved on the button hidden in the collar.

Starting today, the kit is up for pre-order and will become available in-store and online beginning July 16.
