The Nike TW '13 introduced a new platform to the world of golf footwear: a Free-inspired outsole allowing for flexible, natural movements, which helps to amplify swing power. Today, Nike Golf introduces a Free-inspired style for women and adds some new options for the men as well. Meet the Nike FI Impact.

Tiger helped to create the Nike TW '13, and now Nike has tapped female sensation Suzann Pettersen to help develop the FI Impact. As the first Free-inspired golf shoe for women, the FI Impact forgoes removable spikes for a flexible, high-traction design. "We collaborated closely with Pettersen to create a shoe fit for her game. The FI Impact allows her to get the transfer of energy she demands, proving even a swing as powerful as Pettersen’s can utilize the performance of Integrated Traction," explains Nike Golf Footwear Product Director Lee Walker.

The FI Impact's outsole is designed to flow with the foot's natural motions while maintaining a high level of protection and traction. This influences the foot keeps contact with the ground longer, capturing the energy of the foot to the shoe and the shoe to the ground. The result is a powerful, more controlled swing.

Look out for the Nike FI Impact's official launch on August 1. Retail for both the men's and women's version is $160.
