LB MVP 12

LeBron James didn’t quite get the outcome he was looking for when he decided to wear the latest—and certainly the most glamorous—version of his signature Nike LeBron X commemorating his fourth career MVP award in last night’s matchup against Chicago.

After going just 1-for-6 shooting while wearing the LeBron X “MVP” in the first half, James ditched the pair for the LeBron X PS Elite in the second. He played much better in the second half, though the Heat still lost. Nonetheless, Nike certainly went all out for LeBron with this one. After all, he is just the second player ever to win four MVP titles in five years (the other being Bill Russell).

A mixture of past LeBron X colorways, the “MVP” edition celebrates the incredible year LeBron has had—which included going to the London Olympics. Not to mention the remarkable 27-game winning streak Miami put up in the regular season. The shoe features the words “MVP” stacked on the tongue, as well as a customized sockliner that illustrates LeBron’s journey.

The LeBron X MVP will be available in North America and China in limited quantities. Stay tuned for the latest release information.
